Karate, Life Sciences and Hydration

At Karate, Rahul had a very good work-out; he had started on the new Kata - it was quite tough - it was called Bassai Dai - but he did practice hard. He still need to get some of the forms correct and with "ki". Rahul always feels better after a very good workout at the Karate dojo. Also, he has learned that for body to remain healthy, he has to drink a lot of water - water is like a lubricant that reduces the friction (he learned that in the Science class). Particularly, after a godo workout, he had studied that the body loses water and salt from the body and it is required to drink a lot of water and keep the body hydrated. He has understood that water along with nutritious food is very important to keep healthy.

Rahul's Dad travels to Japan !

Rahul and his dad had time during the breakfast today. His dad talked to him about the exact itenerary about his business visit to Japan. Although Rahul would like his father not to travel, he understands work takes him to travel. In about 10 days from now, he was gonig to Japan - Rahul learned about Japan, triggerred by his Karate interest. Rahul's dad likes his work but he doesn't like the idea of staying away from his family. During breakfast, Rahul's dad said that he would miss both of them, since he would feel lonely in Japan. Rahul said, as usual,  I will talk to you everyday ove skype connected to the TV and promised to mail his appa everyday.

Mexico's import/expoert

Rahul was very excited today in school, he had his favorite Geography class. Very much like his previous class, the geography teacher had brought in the Mexico map. Although he has heard about these terms while watching TV, she talked to the class about Imports and Export. She said export means "commodities (goods or services) sold to a foreign country." And import means. "to bring in (goods or materials) from a foreign country for trade or sale".

Rahul came to know that Mexico exports manufactured goods, oil and oil products, silver, fruits, vegetables, coffee, cotton".  Whereas Mexico imports - metalworking machines, steel mill products, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment, car parts for assembly, repair parts for motor vehicles, aircraft, and aircraft parts. Rahul wondered if Mexico also imported lifts !

Rahul, later on googled and found out that major trading partners of mexico was: U.S., Canada, Spain, South Korea, Japan.

Learning about Mexico

The school was as usual - set of classes. There was a difference though - the teacher had brought in the world-map with lot of photographs, and some articles like hat. Rahul found it very interesting - he enjoyed his Geography class - He found out that Mexico was far away from India to the west - One had to cross Arabian Sea, Europe and the Atlantic ocean to reach that county. It was also south of US. He also learnt about Cultures and traditions of Mexico were different from his own. He came home googled Mexico and found more information about the county - their capital city, population, dresses, flags etc.
